Smite

Emitter

Empowers the user proportional to how righteous they feel.

Whenever the user feels they are acting morally good/still holding onto their convictions, they will experience a power boost. Every bodily function becomes stronger relative to their moral compass, so strength, speed, toughness, and more.

This effect becomes exponentially stronger when they are facing someone they view as not being righteous, with their attacks dealing more damage and their body reinforcing itself to better handle attacks.

Drawbacks

Entirely based on the user's conviction, so attacking the users confidence will weaken them.

Universal

Emitter

Allows the user to exist in multiple places simultaneously.

This works by projecting the user's body into a certain space, as though a parallel universe where the user had chosen a different movement to take was superimposed onto reality.

They can also project parts of their body at a time, like only manifesting a single arm or eye.

Drawbacks

Cannot project body parts into occupied spaces, so they can't telefrag someone.

Mostly limited to 2 locations at a time, but with training & concentration they can increase this number.

User: Ubiquity, a European Pro Hero.

Inspiration: the concept of bilocation, existing in two places simultaneously.

Penaid

Emitter

Allows the user to charge a projectile (small object) with the power to pass through anything in order to reach its mark.

Say the user is holding a gun and wants to shoot their enemy in the brain. They would activate the Quirk by touching the bullets beforehand and when fired, the projectiles would phase through anything except the target's brain, whether it be physical barriers like a shield, defensive abilities like a forcefield, and even the target's own skin and skull. Upon reaching the brain it would re-materialise/solidify and strike true.

Drawbacks

Requires touch to activate. Only effective on projectiles the size of the users hand or smaller, so the maximum projectile possible is probably an arrow.

Once a mark is selected and the projectile is released, it cannot be changed. The projectiles aren't homing or stronger than normal, so they can still be dodged or endured depending on the target.

World Domination

Emitter

Enforces the user's will on the world itself.

If the user believes they own something/have a claim to it, whether it be land, sea, air, or even people, they can exert control over it.

This appears as an invisible field marking their territory, making them the landlord so to speak. Not only do their senses spread throughout their territory, akin to having a surveillance system, but they can physically move and warp things similar to telekinesis.

The strength of the telekinesis is proportional to how valid they believe the claim is. For instance if the user tries to lay claim to a building but the residents fight back, their control would be weakened.

Drawbacks

Resistance can weaken their control, both psychologically and literally.

The user has to genuinely believe they have the right to own something in order to dominate it, so the Quirk takes a very specific type of person to use.

Things that are unclaimed like say a newly discovered island could be assimilated by the Quirk without resistance, but still requires the user to be physically present. The effect can spread through direct contact, so by conquering the sea around the island it would work the same.

User: just a random civilian who isn't aware of the Quirks full potential. They can control stuff they own, like their remote or car, but think that it's simply an unreliable telekinesis Quirk because it doesn't work on everything.

Terraforming

Emitter

Allows the user to manipulate rock and other ground-based materials (dirt, sand, etc.).

They can change the landscape with a thought, lift or flatten mountains, drag people underground, open sinkholes, travel fast by shortening the earth between them and their destination, stir up a sandstorm/dust storm to conceal themselves, and much more.

Speed wise the user can erect rock formation in the blink of an eye, but for anyone with a speed quirk or sensory ability, they may be able to feel the minor tremor in whatever earth the user plans to manipulate right before the actual Quirk activates.

The user can also forcibly condense rock to create more durable material, like crushing a hill into a basketball-sized mass would make it significantly tougher. The only downside is that it is also more heavy, so the users control is weakened slightly.

Range-wise the users control is theoretically infinite, but still travels via vibration (at the speed of sound) and once the tremor passes through an area, the user can only control it for a certain amount of time before they have to reapply the vibration. Furthermore, the tremor is better at travelling horizontally, not downwards, so the user's control is limited to the surface.

Drawbacks

Requires the user to be grounded. They don't have to directly touch the ground like Pixie-Bob, but some part of their body must be on the earth/rock they wish to control.

User: Pangaea, the number 1 heroine in Australia & holder of the worlds strongest earth-based Quirk.

Litigation

Emitter

Permits the creation of a courtroom based on the user's understanding of the legal system.

The building will appear relative to the bench, which appears first in whatever direction the user is facing. If positioned correctly it can even risk destroying other structures nearby because the courtroom takes priority when being formed, so the user has to be in an open space.

The judge is a sentient construct named Lady Justice, basically the embodiment of blind justice in the users eyes. She appears as a blindfolded woman wearing a toga, with scales in her left hand and a blade in her other. Her power is unlimited inside the courtroom, but she is also absolutely impartial until a sentence is decided.

The main property of the courtroom lies in its safety. Nonviolence is literally baked into the rules of the space, just like gravity is for the real world. Aka, no violence can be carried out. Should someone find a loophole, Lady Justice has permission to interfere insofar as to protect everyone else.

After the bench is created, the user can invite up to 12 people to act in 'jury duty'. They will feel a mental cue in their head that, if accepted, warps them inside of the courtroom and forcibly seats them. This jury-summoning effect can be exploited to save civilians or evacuate an area by giving them the invitation before they're hit by an attack or trapped under rubble.

It can perform this same teleportation move on someone they want to prosecute, provided they are within a half-mile of the courtrooms location.

The actual litigation process is the same as standard procedure's (or whatever the user thinks those procedures are), but the resulting sentence is where the Quirk's power comes into it. Punishments include confiscation, imprisonment, and the death sentence.

Confiscation allows Lady Justice to temporarily removes a criminal's belongings, starting with their weapons. If another sentence is carried out, they can then target the criminals Quirk.

Imprisonment permits Lady Justice to amplify the no-violence vow into a no-action vow, making them easy to transfer to a real prison.

Death Sentence is a most severe and uncommon punishment in the Quirk's arsenal, reserved for the worst of the worst. It gives Lady Justice permission to step in and kill the criminal in one of 4 ways, Guillotine (summons a guillotine to lop the prisoners head off), Electric Chair (overloads the body with electricity), Lethal Injection (poisons them), and finally Execution (her ceremonial sword that can vanish away a person's life force upon contact, killing them painlessly and instantly).

Finally, the courtroom can be summoned either partially or entirely. What this means is that they can choose to just summon the gavel to give themselves a weapon, or to conjure the bench to block an attack or give themselves objects to parkour off. In fact, these techniques are technically more energy efficient as they aren't making a building sized construct.

Drawbacks

Summoning parts of the courtroom may be less energy intensive in the long run, but in the moment it takes more concentration which can delay the Quirk momentarily and leave them open to attack.

The user's stamina is drained quickly by the courtroom, so it's best used once a day. Repeated uses will only be possible if they train their stamina a lot.

The Quirk isn't omniscient and neither is Lady Justice, so the user will actually have to provide evidence for why the target of the Quirk is guilty. If they can't prove it and admit to not being certain, the courtroom dissolves.

Inspiration: Deadly Sentencing from JJK + legal system in general.

User: Lord Justice, the number 2 hero in Britain.

Obstacle Removal

Emitter

Permits the removal of obstacles in the user's way.

Whatever the user thinks is an obstacle to their goal can be targeted by the Quirk, including people, structures, the weather, etc.

'Removal' in this context basically means 'launch it as far away as possible'. If they think a wall is an obstacle to their goals, it will suddenly be yanked into the air giving them a free path.

If an obstacle returns for whatever reason, like someone strong enough to survive the sudden g force, then the Quirk changes its mode of attack each time. It can teleport individuals to random locations in a 2-mile radius, invert the force to send them into the ground, and even weaken things to make them less effective obstacles.

It can be used to deflect attacks, bust down hideouts, make people think you have telekinesis, and more.

Drawbacks

The Quirk does not activate automatically, so the user has to consciously recognise something as an obstacle in order to remove it.

The sudden 'launch this thing up ten stories' move is the Quirks go to response, which can be overkill in a lot of situations.

Inspiration: one of Ganesha's roles in Hindu mythology, centred more towards mental obstacles than physical ones (possible Quirk awakening).

Locked & Loaded

Emitter

By holding an object and pressing it into a surface, the user can 'load it' like a projectile.

From the outside nothing looks different, the loaded object simply disappears into a pocket dimension inside the surface of the other object and the only one who can sense the object's presence is the user themselves.

At will, they can choose to fire the loaded object from the makeshift firearm, causing it to suddenly shoot out at roughly the speed of a bullet.

Potential uses:

- Sliding items into things that the user wants to track and using their loaded-object sense to follow it.

- Setting up traps where people wouldn't expect things to shoot out.

- Storing things with virtually limitless space.

Drawbacks

The user has to be able to lift something to consider it a loadable object.

If the surface holding a loaded object is damaged, the object will be forced out prematurely, but without the kinetic energy of being shot forwards.

The user isn't immune to the projectiles of their Quirk so it's better used for prep time.

Riding

Emitter

Allows the user to designate anything as a mount and ride it.

Mounts become empowered by the Quirk, so if they ride a horse it would be as if the horse had a super strength Quirk of its own.

The user isn't limited to living mounts either, as they can select the surrounding air as a mount to 'ride the wind'. This way they can simulate flight and enhance their strikes with air blasts similar to All Might.

Should the user get their legs around someone, they can forcefully take them as a mount in order to either enhance them or incapacitate an enemy.

Inspiration: The Riding skill from Fate.

User: Sweet Georgia, a cowgirl-themed heroine out in America.

Scaffolding

Emitter

Allows the user to print buildings into existence.

By looking at a certain building, the user's eyes will turn blue and emit a series of blue lines that scan the structure. Once a blueprint is mapped out the user's eyes will return to normal.

If they choose to activate the ability again, they can select one of the buildings blueprints they have and project it at will by looking at where they want to build it. This will cause the same series of blue lines to shoot out and quickly form a holographic version of the building. If the user is satisfied, the exact same building will suddenly appear in the holograms place.

They may choose to only scan a part of a building, such as a single floor or a staircase for them to run up later, as long as they recognise it as part of a building.

If something happens to be occupying the same space as the hologram, it will be telefragged when the building appears, so it is best to avoid that space entirely.

Potential uses

- Spawning a building in front of you to block an attack.

- Trapping someone inside.

- Creating parts of a building to parkour off.

Drawbacks

Only two buildings can be saved at once and the blueprints must be deleted if the user wants to scan another one.

The creation process isn't instant so they can be snuck or dodged.

Spamming buildings will suck up the users energy rather quickly. The fastest they can do it without slowing down is a single building per minute.

Anything bigger than a ten story can't be scanned.

Eye damage disables the Quirk.

Neuron Activation

Emitter

Can forcibly trigger neurons in both themselves and others through touch, producing a green glow in the process.

Activated neurons can operate faster and more flawlessly than normal, essentially giving the person temporary super-intelligence & reaction time.

The user can push their Quirk to the point of overloading someone's neurons, inducing brain damage or even death, but everyone has different limits on where this cap lies so it's risky.

Repeated exposure to Neuron Activation--on a low setting--can even repair brain damage or have permanent effects, like retaining the super intelligence longer and longer each time.

Oversoul

Accumulation

Causes the user's body to stockpile Vestiges.

While a regular Quirk user only has 1 Vestige to their name, the user of Oversoul has both a supermassive 'central' Vestige (the Oversoul Quirk itself) and innumerable other 'offspring' Vestiges that are stockpiled by the user's life force.

At first there is no tangible benefit to this because it is astronomically rare to find a Quirk that can interact with Vestiges (basically just AFO, OFA, & New Order), but later in the user's life--*at least* a decade-- they may reach a point where the sheer volume of Vestiges inhabiting their mind can manifest externally.

For instance if the user projected several dozen Vestiges in front of their arm, it would appear as a wave of multicoloured exotic energy suddenly spawning into existence. Since this is spiritual energy rather than anything physical, it has no impact on the physical world. It can't push, destroy, or affect anything.

However, it can affect other Vestiges. This makes the user's attacks lethal to other Quirk users, capable of weakening, strengthening, or outright destroying a person's Quirk based on how many Vestiges the user puts into the attack and the strength of the Quirk they're trying to affect. Quirks like One For All wouldn't fold even if the user dropped their whole supply on it (so they also can't empower OP Quirks), while something like Squirmy Fingers would be erased with a car-sized blast.

The user can even affect their own central Vestige, such as launching energy at themselves to push their Vestige around (which by extension pulls the body, giving them access to a rudimentary form of flight). Since this central Vestige is so massive compared to the others, it is essentially impossible to accidentally harm it.

Finally, the user can give someone awareness of their Vestige realm through direct contact, potentially allowing them to explore the inner workings of their ability. This can also be quite straining on the human mind if it's the first time.

Drawbacks

Takes time to develop a functional supply.

Is only effective on Quirk users.

Requires the user to estimate the power level of their opponent otherwise they could accidentally extinguish their Quirk without meaning to.

Inspiration: I wanted to make a Stockpiling-type Quirk that worked with something that doesn't exist in the real world. Originally it was going to be something more abstract like stockpiling patience, but I couldn't find the right way to describe it so I went with this instead.

Plumb Line

Mutation

Transforms the user's fingers into spirit levels (the tool uses to level surfaces).

These tools can be controlled as easily as fingers and feature ball bearings that act as knuckles, allowing the user to hold stuff like normal.

The power of the Quirk can only be activated when the levels are locked straight however. Upon touching them to a surface, the user can instantly cause the plane to become perfectly straight (respective to the centre of gravity).

They can turn unsteady terrain into a paved street, slide down diagonal structures easier, or make climbable surfaces slippery, and more. Most notably the experience of being on a perfectly level plane is supposedly like no other, inducing a state of pure satisfaction and clear-mindedness.

Drawbacks

If the user's fingers are damaged or simply can't lock in place, the Quirk cannot be activated.

The liquid inside the spirit levels can be extracted to replicate the Quirk's effects on any surface it is spilled on, so they could be used for taking samples.

Reality Distortion Field

Emitter

Gives the user a sort of supernatural charisma.

Not only do other people pay heed to their words, without even realising it, but they will experience a boost in energy and performance when working with the user.

The user's presence can turn a seemingly impossible task into light work, influencing allies to the point it seems like fate is in their favour. This isn't just regular charisma or social skills, it is a minor reality-warping ability that perfects a groups dynamics with own another.

Inspiration: an Apple term used to describe Steve Job's persuasive skills.

Air Loom

Emitter

Allows the user to emit magnetic rays from their hands that can manipulate one's brain chemistry.

These can either be used to cause pain--putting someone into a more subservient/vulnerable state--or outright tweaking what muscles they intend to move to perform other actions.

These rays can pass through matter, but leave mirage-like ripples in the air in their wake so a dedicated detective could follow their trail.

It is possible to target multiple people simultaneously, though they will be controlled to follow the same action so it may be easier to tell they're being controlled. For example, if they make one person lift their arm then that command is shared to every other person under their control.

It is also possible to manipulate their own brain chemistry, though this is risky for obvious reasons.

Inspiration: the imaginary air loom machine popularised by James Matthews.

Godspeed

Accumulation

Stockpiles kinetic energy.

Whenever the user makes a motion, no matter how small or unconscious (like a heartbeat), the kinetic energy is copied and stored within their body. They can call upon this kinetic energy supply to boost their body.

Visually it will look like an aura of lightning enveloping them, which acts as a barrier against high speed impacts, g force, air resistance, and prevents the user from accidentally igniting the air in their wake. With focus the user can extend this aura to other people through direct contact, though it will stretch their barrier and weaken their protection.

When active the users reaction time, thought-processing speed, and muscles are augmented by the kinetic energy, allowing them to view the world as though time is stopped and move at various different speeds.

The user can land devastating blows by building up momentum and crashing into things, evacuate civilians rapidly, attack enemies with shockwaves and sonic books to deafen them, create and dispel tornadoes by running in circles (clockwise or counter clockwise respectively), or simply finish everyday tasks faster.

Since their mind runs just as fast as their body, they can read entire books in a matter of moments or leave themselves audiovisual recordings that play so fast only someone with superspeed can see and hear them.

Drawbacks

Extending the Godspeed aura isn't an automatic process, it's something they have to consent to. Whenever they save a civilian they have to consciously spread the protection with almost perfect timing otherwise they could harm them through recoil.

The aura doesn't fully protect the environment since it prioritises the users safety, so collateral damage through kicking up shockwaves and sonic booms is a major concern.

Some of the kinetic energy bleeds out during the day, so their natural biological functions are all faster than normal as a baseline. This means any conversation they have with others plays out in slow motion.

The kinetic energy isn't infinite and can weaken or even run out if pushed too far.

Sales Slip

Emitter

By 'burning' a physical contract (like a receipt), the user can recreate whatever service was written on it back into existence.

This isn't limited to item purchases either, as it can recreate the side effects of services as well. For instance, a spa day to restore stamina and ease wounds or a doctor's appointment to check their own health.

Finally, since the contract is recognised as theirs by the Quirk they can control the recreation, provided it's something they can lift/move in person. A knife could be launched as if the user has telekinesis, but a car couldn't be budged once summoned.

Possible uses

- Massage days to rest their muscles after a fight.

- Recreating household items on the fly.

- Doubling everything they buy.

- Summoning an assassin after ordering a hit on someone.

- Creating a personal star by naming one on the UK Star Registry website (if you've read Worm, picture Sundancer)

- Should the user somehow get their hands on them: the Louisiana Purchase or Seward's Folly to drop a landmass on someone (a suicide attack unless they have an ally with a warp quirk)

- And an even more overkill suicide attack: the receipt for Little Boy. Again, no idea how they'll get their hands on it, but if they do they would have access to a nuke.

Drawbacks

The contract has to be official, so they can't simply fake a document. It has to be a service that was used in some way. An unofficial contract cannot be burned by their Quirk.

Contracts are one time uses.

Anything recreated by a contract can still harm the user even if they control its movements, so anything heavy could still crush them in its radius, weapons could hit them as collateral, etc.

Regular human reaction time so a trained fighter could sneak attack them or a faster enemy could simply take them out before a contract finishes burning.

Inspiration: Contractual Re-Creation from JJK, along with the ideas for it I've seen in comment sections.

User: Ephemera, a hedonistic villain who was swept into All For One's inner circle since she thought his whole world domination plan would lead to her having endless wealth and by extension infinite contracts.

Royal Touch

Emitter

Can endow whatever they touch with a property known as 'royalty'.

An object's royalty level depends on the value the user sees in it. A sentimental object would have higher royalty than anything else for instance.

Any object infused with royalty will enjoy a boost in structural durability, but the real power lies in its authority over the world.

Royal weapons will have priority over regular weapons during fights, so a royal-infused sword would always come out on top if it clashes with a normal blade.

Royal humans are recognised as being 'knighted', so they are treated as having charisma and bravery beyond what is shown. Others would look at them and instinctively identify them as royal blooded even if they haven't done anything yet. This is great for manipulation and rallying followers, but may consolidate a bunch of hyper-confident people that have to be kept in line.

User: Tsarina, a powerful villain with a queen-theme going on. She is known for 'knighting' allies and has a veritable army of superhumans, on top of carrying a sword passed down in her family for generations that she concentrates all of her Quirks power on. Currently in a deadlock with the number 1 Russian hero as Tsarina believes she has a rightful claim to the old Russian monarchy.

Death Spiral

Emitter

After touching something the user can transform it fully into energy, forming a dense vortex that they can unleash in the form of a destructive beam.

Whatever the mass of the original object is, will be fully converted into pure energy. Vortexes detonation can be delayed or condensed further by the user, but they inevitably have to be released relatively quickly for the user's safety.
