Five months unemployed after BTech and my parents are basically giving me a marriage deadline please help
Okay, this is going to be a little personal, but I genuinely don’t know what else to do.
I’m 21F, graduated 5 months ago with a BTech in CSE (AI/ML), and I still haven’t been able to get a job.
I’ve been applying constantly but it’s just rejection after rejection or no response at all. And now my parents have basically told me that if I don’t get a job by the end of this year, they’ll start looking for marriage prospects for me.
I REALLY don’t want to get married. 😭
I know that sounds dramatic, but it genuinely feels like a deadline has been put on my life. I don’t want to spend the next few years at home waiting for someone to decide who I should marry. I want to work, become independent and move out.
I’m specifically looking for opportunities in Bengaluru or Hyderabad because honestly, getting a job away from home is kind of my biggest goal right now.
A little about me: I have a BTech in CSE (AI/ML), know Python, have worked with AI tools and automation, and I also have internship experience as an AI Intern, where I worked on Python, APIs, automation and AI/ML-related use cases. I’ve also built projects including a RAG chatbot and other ML projects.
I’m completely okay with starting as a fresher/junior and learning on the job. I’m not expecting some crazy 20 LPA role. I just need a legitimate opportunity where I can get my foot in the door.

AI automation roles
Software/tech roles where a CSE fresher could fit
Startups hiring in Bengaluru/Hyderabad
Anyone who can refer me or point me towards a recruiter
PLEASE let me know.
I’m genuinely willing to work very hard. I just need someone to give me a chance.
And yes, the motivation is unfortunately very much “get a job or get married” at this point. 💀
Please help this girl escape the arranged-marriage pipeline and enter the employment pipeline instead. 😭
