Can I score your film/short film for free? I'm a music producer with 10 years of reputable credits but no film score portfolio (yet)
Hello! Ive been working in music production since 2015 covering a wide range of different sounds/genres/recording techniques you name it. As for music Ive made though, its ranged from hip hop, rnb, pop, rock/alt/indie, dance even country more recently. I've mainly collaborated with artist Aminé on all of his solo albums, also have songs out that Ive produced with Kendrick Lamar, Kali Uchis, Vince Staples, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Jorja Smith, and most recently produced and recorded an album by former Blood Brothers guitarist Cody Votolato for his new band JR Slayer, to give you a gauge of my range.
Its surprisingly hard to meet filmmakers within my music circle that ive been in for the past 10+ years but its what Ive always wanted to do. I auditioned and was accepted to go to Berklee for film score in high school until i got hit with the price tag and my career took a more production focused route. But im so ready to get the practice in to really do this, and know that I gotta start somewhere like everyone else. Please DM or leave a comment if youre down to give me a shot. Any advice on where to be to meet filmmakers would be appreciated, I live in LA and im either really bad at finding short film festivals/etc or they evade me but thats something i want to look out for too.
