Some nice additions.
One thing I’ve noticed so far is that when stopping the AC, it no longer changes state over matter from cooling to fan to off. It now goes straight to off even though the fan still blows for a bit.
Today is the one year anniversary of the reopening of r/aeoniums!
Prior to a year ago, this subreddit had been locked down and abandoned by its previous moderator(s) with only about a dozen members.
Today, we have about 375 members from across the world with real Aeonium experts, enthusiasts, and folks who can just appreciate how awesome Aeoniums and the other succulents of the Aeonium clade are!
I absolutely have to give a special shoutout and thanks to co-moderator /u/aevriel who has brought their amazing and unique hybrids, true species, and incredible knowledge to this growing community. I personally have benefitted greatly from it.
This is a picture of my Aeonium ‘Blushing Beauty’ - my first Aeonium - taken just now. This is the one that got me interested in them. It’s the plant in the banner picture for this sub.
Just up-potted this fuzzy Aichryson (part of the Aeonium clade) yesterday. Loving its texture and coloring.
It’s very similar to Aichryson bethencourtianum, but the leaves are a bit wider and more rounded, perhaps a little larger than my similar beth’s…so not sure what its parentage is but I think it’s part that.
I posted a couple of times about my Aeonium smithii seedlings here recently.
I also picked up a couple other species and a packet of random aeo seeds, and these the the types that came out of it.
My best guesses + a little help from others:
Aeonium aureum (or related from the greenovia section).
Aeonium lindleyi var. lindleyi
Aeonium davidbramwellii (per seed label)
Not sure. I initially thought they were the same as (3) but with pointier leaves. Now has flatter rosettes, too.
Aeonium simsii (asssuming small form)
Aeonium tabuliforme or hybrid. Originally thought was the same as (7) but now thinking not.
Likely Aeonium x anagense (lindleyi x tabuliforme).
