The Analogue

I pulled up my SX-70 camera and got some new films. Recalling my adventures with the camera and friends. All analogue. All beautiful, the lighting, the blur, the lomo…, relate?

New Scratches

Today, I just threw my TN into my postman’s bag for a doctor's appointment, where everything gets tossed together, tumbling around and mingling with each other. The only exception is my camera, which has a cushioned case for lens protection. I came back and noticed the new scratch marks. They are a little more noticeable than usual, but they will smooth off naturally later.

No I’m not opening it…

No, I’m not opening this yet… 💔
The truth is, I’m still grieving my 10th-anniversary brown TN. I lost it in Tokyo after a whole decade of it being by my side. I kept holding out hope that it was just hiding in a forgotten pocket of one of my bags, but I’ve checked them all, and it's really gone.
Has anyone else ever lost a journal they loved this much? Tell me it gets easier. 🥺📖😭😭😭😭

Look at that leather saddle too

Had a great time last week cycling in Tokyo. Brooks saddle, Wotancraft bag, Brompton, Traveler’s Notebook.

There’s typhoon there now, hope everybody is safe.

And here’s 1 month after using the card sized TN

It sits in my front trousers pocket everyday. I assume the summer heat will quickly turn it darker. So far I’m very pleased with its size, smaller than my previous wallet.

Tips for using card-sized TN

This was shared 4 weeks ago when I first acquired my card-sized TN.

Most people stack their inserts the standard way, but if you want to keep your front cover flat and avoid card imprints, try this layout:

1️⃣ Kraft Folder (Front)
2️⃣ Notebook Refill (Middle)
3️⃣ Zipper Case (Back)

It’s the perfect way to turn your card-sized TN into a functional wallet without ruining that beautiful leather. Plus, wait until you see the pen loop hack for the Kaweco Liliput! 🖊️ How do you set up yours? Let me know in the comments! 👇
