I can upload the full resolution somewhere that people can buy them, or I can send people the PSD file directly. What we thinkin?

So we have a light fixture and our cat chewed through the cable (while it was unplugged). My wife wants to “fix” it with some electrical tape and a clamp.

Does this sound insane or is it an ordinary thing to do? Is there a right way to do this? Our house has really unpredictable power (occasional surges, no/bad grounding), and this seems like an accident waiting to happen with our animals or us.
