Update for the Bargain or Trash!

So I let the company know that I don’t know about paying THAT much for the PD pro mono considering the specs and no warranty, so to sweeten the deal they…

-will drop it from $3000 -> to $2800

-will include a PTS MTEK helmet

-counter weight

-2x sacrificial lenses to protect the actual lens of the PD-Pro

Considering I only wanna do white phosphor instead of green, how’s everyone feelin about this now? Or should I just get a PVS-14 instead, per some of your guy’s thoughts/ recommendations? I dont have a helmet (if you got recommendations for that, feel free to let me know! :D )

First time entering NVG, this a bargain? Or trash?

Hello all! So I’m EXTREMELY new to night vision! The closest I’ve had to NVGS is the Call of Duty NVGS that came with the collectors edition of Modern Warfare (2019)! That being said I have the chance to get this…

Photonis PD PRO (MONO) with 4G Photonis tube!…

-1972 FOM

-72 resolution center

-27.38 signal to noise ratio

-~11,000 gain

All for the price of $3000!

It is a used unit, with NO warranty, but I’m getting it for about half off because it’s used and there’s no blems on the tube. So it is pretty clear! That being said, is this a good deal for a single NV monocular analog? Or should I look elsewhere??

Edit: I’m a white phosphor guy FOR SURE, I can’t do green, crucify me if you must 🫡
