Swapping Sharps bros for Icar lower

How hard would it be for me to swap those out myself or should I just have a gunsmith do it ?

Edit : i had everything installed properly but blond moment and apparently all my mags are comp mags so I need to go buy full size mags.

Overall im very pleased with my purchase and now have confidence to fully take the cog off and back on (not enough to mess with my trigger) thank you to everyone who helped out and gave me the confidence to do this myself

New to Eschelon

Hi all. I've been shooting since I was a kid, but just getting around to owning my own for various reasons. I really like what I see with the Eschelon. I really like the OD version, but wish it came as a comp. Trying to decide between the od version or comp, and maybe switch out the grip.

I'm really just a casual shooter and this would be filling in the home defence role, so looking at the 4.5. One side of my brain says go ahead with the comp, but can't decide.

Red dot recommendations? 4.0c

I work in a somewhat dusty environment and lens needs cleaning multiple times a week. Maybe a closed emitter? Not too educated on red dots but I do prefer the green dot because of my astigmatism.

Sharps Bros Upgrade

After having my Echelon on the shelf for the last 2 years, I finally picked it back up. Gave it a makeover and fell in love all over again.

Echelon Comp Vs M&P Metal Comp

I currently have a 4.0 Echelon that is non comp, and although it is fun, I have been looking at comped models of different 9mm and I obviously like the Echelon comp but also love the aggressive look of the M&P 2.0 Metal Carry Comp.

I just wanted some opinions on which one people think feels better and is just better all around more fun to shoot with as well as daily carry? Thank you.

Finally got one

Figured why not give it a try with all the good things floating around about it. It shot better than my glocks but not as nice as my m&p 2.0 metal comp. Love how the grip feels in the hand since I have medium sized hands. I did have one very bad FTE, assuming it would be caused by the optic screw touching the extractor? Either way, was very fun to shoot.

It has secured itself a spot on my wall,

First Mod

Went with the TLR 7x for the light. Still deciding which sight I want to add, may try a few before I finish this setup

Mags for Sharp Bros grip on full size slide?

Pretty sure this is a dumb question but here we go.

I have 3 full size mags running with mag sleeves and longer baseplates, but I want a compact one that sits completely flush on the grip for carry. So I ordered the 4.0C mag, and it seems to not sit flush.

  1. Are there full size and compact 4.0c mags? I assumed they’re all compact.

  2. Would I have to find ones labeled “compact”?

Safariland ALS...what friggin model is it?

Safariland holster finder is absolutely no help. I keep winding up at the page for a DS Prodigy. Is this the same holster model?

I need a holster with the Safariland hole pattern that preferably has active retention. Prefer to stick to an actual Safariland holster. Will be for a 4.5F that will end up with a threaded barrel and comp. - Can someone tell me exactly what model it is or provide a link? I know it's a 6390RDSO-572 but it never says "Echelon" anywhere.

I've considered getting a Ragnarok to hold me over but really don't want to wind up with another box full of holsters I don't use.

Thanks for any help.

Echelon recommendations

I recently got the Echelon 4.0 FC, any recommendations on the light and green dot sight I should use?
Right now I’m thinking about the PL-X light and the Osight C green dot.

Landed on the vortex

I’ve been between a few options but found a used Defender St from a friend. Couldn’t pass it up.
I’m still thinking of getting a 507 comp
In the future with a green dot. But for now, I’ll see what the vortex is all about.

The Defender ST looks good...

And it's a bit bigger than the CCW... The 3MOA dot seems to agree with my eye(s).

Overall, I think it's a better fit on the Echelon as well.

12lb recoil spring

I ordered the ndz 12lb spring, online it says it comes with a washer and that it is necessary. Mine did not. Everything runs flawless with the stock spring so I emailed them and they said it’s not in stock, who sends a product out and leaves out “very important” part of it. No idea if it really is needed but I might just stick with stock springs. Do I need that washer? What does it help with? Haven’t shot it yet with that 12lb

Tyrant trigger, install and spring questions

This is my first trigger install and I’m confused. Is this link that I should be removing from the spring or is this supposed to be in the spring?

Also, how the hell did you guys get the pin to seat in the eye of the spring? I’m struggling. I’ve tried floss and picks. Nothing seems to work.
