Was anyone else jumpscared by Resetti back in the day?

Thank you all for the warm reception on my first comic! Here's a second :)

(Sorry for the repost mods, I finally figured out the animation... I hope.)

2. Villager is checking the mail while flowers to the right explode in a boom while someone yells, "HEY"
3. A mole (Resetti) pops out of a hole and makes an animated eye contact gesture with two fingers and says, "I'm watching you"
4. The mole (Resetti) disappears quickly and the villager side eyes the viewer.
