Eclipse 2027 Sailing & First Timer

Hi guys - never done a cruise before but myself and my partner have always wanted to try a Virgin voyage and really want to go for the eclipse sailing in August 2027 so really hoping you wonderful people might be able to help me with a few questions!

- Currently, I can’t see any sea terrace cabins on their website - does anyone know if these tend to pop up again over time? Or is that them usually sold out?

- What is the best way to book? I’m assuming direct on the VV website is that right?

- There seem to be a lot of ‘sales’ on the website but are there any regular sales/promotions I should look out for over any others?

- Is the gratuity add-on worth adding if you’re also buying a drinks credit?

- If anyone has ANY tips for a couple of first timers when it comes to price searching, booking, or the cruise itself then please feel free to share :)

Cheers! 🛳️

Last Minute Trip to Palma

Hey guys - I’ve always wanted to see the eclipse, and I wanted to leave it as last minute as possible to book travel to guarantee clear skies in Majorca. Just over a week to go now and the forecast is looking good so I’m starting to look at traveling from Ireland and flights aren’t crazy expensive and I’ve hotel points for a chain that I plan to book with in Palma so doesn’t seem to break the bank. I was thinking of going to the S’Arenal area for a viewing spot early on the 12th - does anyone see any significant concerns with this or any other suggestions? Seems like totality will be just before sunset over the horizon and might be the best area that’s somewhat close to Palma?

I haven’t decided on renting a car yet as it seems like prices are quite high due to demand so does anyone know if public transport should still be running?

Any other advice/tips/discussion points are more than welcome as I’ve never seen a total eclipse before and really want to experience this for the first time!

Cheers!

D14 C1 tickets - where’s the best place to watch the men’s final?

We have C1 tickets for D14 but wondering where’s the best place to watch the men’s final? I heard that they sometimes play it on the screens on C1 but depends when play finishes? And even if so, can you get a decent view of the screens there? Alternatively, where would people suggest is the best place to watch it? On the Hill or around the southern village on the other side of the open courts?

Can I return my ticket & get a refund?

I’ve two tickets for CC Day 3 in my account, however flights from Belfast are £300-£500 just for one way which is just too much. I thought if I waited closer to the time they’d go down but alas no. I was under the impression I can return my tickets but the option to return the ticket is greyed out. Am I not able to return/refund?
