Why are people on dating apps so uninterested in actually talking?
I’m on a few dating apps mostly just to chat and meet new people, but honestly… people seem so uninterested in having real conversations. Everything stays at surface level, dry replies, and nobody really tries to get to know the other person.
I’m not saying I expect deep philosophical discussions about the meaning of existence five messages in. But it would be nice to talk just for the sake of talking. I’m a very talkative person, and lately I feel like I’m carrying every conversation alone while getting replies like: “yes” “no” “cool” “interesting” “you’re hot send pics”
And if someone is genuinely looking for a girlfriend or relationship, this honestly seems like the worst possible approach
