Does God pick a spouse for us?
Many Christians say God does not pick a spouse for us and that we have to choose for ourselves. But honestly, this makes me nervous because I know I can make mistakes. I could choose the wrong person and potentially ruin my life. I always believed that God would pick my spouse for me, almost like He would handpick the person and the Holy Spirit would let me know. I know that may sound easier, but I thought that would give me more peace and certainty.
So what is the actual biblical reality? Does God really not pick a spouse for us? If God does guide us toward someone, how can we know that it is actually His guidance and not just what we want? I had this belief until now, and I am trying to understand whether I was wrong. what if i pick the wrong one i dont trust myself
