So refreshing that this isn't based on a book or remake

Can we take a second to appreciate how refreshing it is that Sterling Point is an entirely original story?

In a TV landscape right now where it feels like every single teen drama or YA series is an adaptation of a book or a remake of something existing, getting a brand new story from scratch feels amazing.

It is honestly so nice not to have to deal with the exhausting discourse from people who have read the source material complaining about every tiny change, arguing about book canon, or constantly saying "well in the book it happened this way."

Getting to just watch a show unfold without a built-in fandom grading every scene on accuracy is such a relief. More original television, please!

BoA Half - First time

Hello! First time running a half marathon, got into running the past year.

I don’t usually carry a water bottle when I run, but I do stop at water fountains and I do take Huma Gels every 3 miles or so.

I was wondering if it is worth it to bring one to the race or if the aid stations will be enough? Is it easy to access that water they hand out without getting off track too much?

Any other considerations? I am worried about heat. Want to finish under 2 hours.

HMUA Touchups?

Hi! Looking for advice: I am getting married this summer and I am trying to figure out if I need to add on a day-of touch-up service with my hair and makeup artists.

Our timeline is pretty long. Photos are starting around 1pm, and the night goes all the way until 1am. On top of that, both our ceremony and our cocktail hour are going to be outside. Reception and afterparty inside with A/C.

I just had my makeup trial and hair trial and didn't have the best results but hoping they will take the feedback since the company has such great reviews and do a better job the day-of, but my skin is naturally very oily and my long hair will be partially down and curled so I know it's tough. With a 12-hour day and the summer outdoor elements, I am stressing a bit about melting and the curls not holding.

Did you guys add on a touch-up service for peace of mind, or is it a waste of money? Do people usually just carry a little powder and oil blotting sheets and re curl, or is having the pro there for a midday refresh worth it? It would cost several hundred.

Would love to hear what others did, especially if you also have oily skin or had an outdoor portion of your day. Thanks in advance.
