Hate to be this guy, but what is Kelda’s game here?

Hate to be this guy, but what is Kelda’s game here?

I mean…attacking a consistent top 3, one with a frankly kinda rabid fanbase (speaking as a Hong fan myself) from the back of the pack? I am usually all prog all the time, but I honestly might pick a moderate over Kelda if it came to it based on this behavior. She might have the right ideas, but if she’s gonna resort to this Hasan Piker fear mongering, I fear she won’t have the spine to actually stand up to corporate power.

There’s no way she’s this stupid, right? Is she working on behalf of another candidate, perhaps in exchange for a position?

Thing is, even if these attacks hurt Hong’s campaign, they won’t help Kelda’s.

Ann’s social link is so “meh,” I forgot her initial arc is arguably one of the best

Title. When I first beat Persona 5 in ‘22, I found myself annoyed with Ann by the end of the game for her very scattered and confusing social link, heavy emphasis on her airheaded demeanor, and role as the fanservice character.

So when I replayed it this year, I was genuinely surprised when I was like “oh yeah, Ann’s arc in the Kamoshida palace fucking rules. Oh wait, I fucking loved Ann at first.”

Her whole thing with Shiho is just great. The moment where she has a chance to kill
Kamoshida goes hard and arguably forms the whole ethos and pathos of the phantom thieves more than Joker and Ryuji do.She comes off as more sensible than later in the game, probably because Makoto took over the “sensible one” role. Even when she was involved in comic relief scenes, it felt like she was an agent within the joke rather than the butt of it (like with the food bit and even the near nude painting with Yusuke thing. Yes the last one was leaning into perv humor but the joke was how she responded to the situation, not “haha naked woman is uncomfortable.”)

Then her social link is just…kinda all over the place. Her relationship with food, her kinda random desire to be an actress…it’s at its best when it focuses on Shiho. I feel like there’s a way to expand her agency without relying on that but this wasn’t it.

Idk. Thoughts?
