UPDATE: 8 disc half letter

I posted in here a few weeks ago that I got my first discount system and was underwhelmed. I have since purchased more paper (from Amazon) to make her more chunky. In addition I discovered that I could use my clear cover and add in a book I am trying to get through. Overall I am more satisfied but unsure I want to use my disbound for my daily journaling pages. Just wanted to share. How do you use your disc bound ?

New to disc bound

Hello fellow stationary peeps.

I was SO excited to finally get paid and order my first disc bound system from cloth and paper. I went back and forth between the half letter and cp original (I don’t remember what it’s called, the largest size). After not being able to find many examples of the larger size I went with the half letter.

I am a bit startled to see how little paper comes in each bundle. I got the lined note paper and the spending tracker, fluted dashboard, a few pockets, a document pocket. It’s so skinny? I’m pretty sure I got the 1nch rings. What dashboard do I purchase for the back so it isn’t so floppy? How can I thicken it up to look like other people’s set up. I like a thick set up ! Also, when writing on the backside of the page, do the rings not get in the way and bother you? I want to love it but I’m a bit disappointed. Recommendations welcome.

UPDATE: taking the pages out to write is much better!! I purchased another fluted dashboard to place on back and Amazoned some more lined paper. I decided not to go with the forma system at this time because I am trying to use my hobinichi weeks for planning. I will continue to collect to make her chunk. Thank you for all the recommendations!!

Vintage handmade dress

Hi guys. This is a hand made, hand sequined dress that was made by my great aunt. It was most likely made in the late forties-fifties. It has been in storage since then, only worn one time by my mother over 30 years ago. I took it to the dry cleaners (Milt and Eddie’s in Burbank, CA) to have it cleaned. They tested the fabric and said that it bleeds, so the yarn/fabric maybe not retain its color if cleaned. They wanted me to sign a waiver before dropping it off. Some family members recommend that I hand wash in the tub and lay flat to dry in a towel.

If this were your family heirloom, how would you go about having it cleaned so it would be wearable?
