The year is 1956, nearly a full decade after the Atomic Bombing of Stalingrad and the uncomfortable ceasefire on the Eastern Front that followed. The German Reich rules a new empire, built from the oppression of its constituents, from Brest to Rostow, from Narvik to Sofia, and yet that isnt enough for the rapidly-declining Fuhrer. Across a highly militarised English Channel, the British watch uneasily, waiting for their chance to return to Europe. The Western Democracies, spearheaded by an awoken United States, have banded together under the banner of the ‘Washington Treaty Organization’ in a quest for mutual security and spreading freedom* throughout the world. The Soviet Union, albeit devastated from five years of fighting on their own land, awaits the moment when the facade of peace finally collapses and war resumes in the East, to retake lands occupied and exploited by the decadent Reich. Across Europe and the world at large, a Steel Curtain has descended, and only time will tell which faction will arise victorious.
