What have we done?
We adopted Lucas, a 5-month old rescue that appears to be a min pin mix. We picked him up 2-1/2 days ago. He's super sweet and has been Velcro'd to me so far. He doing great with pottying outside, sleeping in his crate, walking on leash, and is starting to play with our 60-pound dog.
He's been a dream! Except...
• my son came over last night and Lucas attacked him as he came in the door! Lost his mind, grabbing and trying to kill his pants legs. I'm just glad my son wasn't in shorts! By the end of the night they were BFFs, but I can't have him attacking guests.
• today, he started barking at EVERYTHING and NOTHING. Even people on tv. It has been nonstop.
Is this typical? Is there hope we can train this out of him?
Our older dog is a bad enough barker. I don't think I can take an even worse one.
I'm not giving up after only 2 days, but dang. Any advice?
