Fan header ripped off...new options?

Fan header ripped off...new options?

Good morning y'all! I had a rather critical print failure yesterday where the print curled up and ripped off the fan shroud. The shroud then in turn somehow broke off. The fan header for the extruder. The safety features kicked in and stopped the print because the extruder was getting too hot.

I don't see very many options for a replacement tool board that would arrive in any reasonable amount of time. I see some placement assemblies for the entire entire fan and extruder, and those are around $90.

I can certainly purchase that, but I wanted to see if anyone has put on a different type of extruder assembly and had better printing and cooling performance with it?

Beautiful pair of fish

This beautiful Tittot sculpture jumped out at me at a local sale, very happy to have them in my collection.

Hi all! I am just trying out my new Metro Y Ultra. I am comparing it to my Artec Spider and had some questions. I really know how to sue the Spider, but the Metro Y Ultra is somewhat new to me. I scanned this nozzle (covered with scanning spray) with both scanners and meshed with the highest settings possible but I get FAR better results with the Spider than the MYU. This was scanned with Crossed lines and parallel lines, no real difference in quality. Each thread is about 2mm in diameter (at the base). Any ideas if this is the limit of what the MYU can do?
