First Purchase: CC
Hi all,
I bought my first vehicle a month ago, a 2013 Volkswagen - CC Sport - 2L, In-Line4 with 97K miles on it for $5,800 or $7,000 out the door (sales tax/doc and title fee).
Put $3,250 into it for:
new front/rear breaks (rotors and pads)
alignment
sway bar
trans oil pan & gasket replacement (was completed rusted)
“secondary” water pump replacement (whatever that means). they did this while finding the trans oil leak, which from what I read online makes sense to do because they’re already in it.
both headlight bulb replacement (one was out)
oil change
All in I’m at $10,250.
Was it a good purchase? Was looking to put in another 100K miles, but since I only drive 3K miles/year it will more so be something for the next 5 years. Kind of upset to learn it takes premium gas.
What I need help in understanding is at what point do I stop putting money into it?
