looking for brooklyn venue recommendations for a nontraditional wedding (2028)

hi everyone! my partner and i (both women) are planning a small ceremony for family with brunch and i would love recommendations for venues/restaurants that might fit. we are VERY early, looking at a may 2028 wedding but i’m a virgo with crippling anxiety lmao.

we’re thinking of splitting the day into two parts:

daytime — ~30 people
- somewhere in brooklyn
- ceremony + brunch/lunch
- around 12–3pm
- restaurant/private dining setting would be ideal because we really want to avoid raw-space + outside catering logistics
- ideally somewhere that can actually accommodate the ceremony in the same space

for the ceremony, our top pick is palo santo but would love other recs because i’m worried about sizing. but we really like the feel of places like that.

evening — ~80-90 people
- definitely brooklyn
- we are looking to rent out a bar with space for dancing but also seating for older guests
- timing either 5-9pm or 6-10pm
- no formal dinner — just drinks/maybe some bites, music, dancing, hanging out
- thinking of doing a hosted beer/wine/well bar for the first 1–2 hours and then having guests purchase their own drinks

places we are potentially interested in but need more info on pricing: union hall, tadpole, public records, royal palms, gingers!

budget is ideally $10k total for both events.

if you’ve had a brunch/lunch wedding, restaurant ceremony, micro-wedding, or private event like this in brooklyn that you loved, i’d LOVE to hear about it — especially if you remember pricing!
thank you!!

added some flair to my artist masterset binder!

i have been doing the “michi method” in my binder as i wait to acquire the rest of these artists’ cards. it’s been super relaxing and feels rewarding to see the whole thing more as a collection, especially by including the proxies in there!

gonna take a looooong time but no rush. honestly, if you’ve been thinking about doing it, i highly recommend!
