Thoughts on Odessa by Gabrielle Sher

I randomly got this book from the library after hearing a few positive comments. I finished it a month back and find myself thinking about it. Would love to hear what yall thought of it.

How's your kid reading?

My oldest son just finished kindergarten last week. During the graduation ceremony, I slowly realized he’s a little behind some of his classmates in reading skills. The teacher was handing out praise and accomplishments for each child, and it really opened my eyes to how much is expected of kindergarteners now.

We’re going to keep working with him over the summer to help build his reading skills and confidence. I was just curious where everyone else’s kids were after kindergarten when it came to reading comprehension. I honestly didn’t realize how big of a push reading has become at this age.
