Porting landline nightmare

I have business landline number that I’m trying to port from ATT to USM. Tell me if I’m doing anything wrong or if there’s zero hope in being able to port this number because it seems to be impossible. I decided to try and go with the Light plan because it would save me hundreds of dollars compared to the ATT legacy landline plan.

May 11 830am- tried signing up through app and speaking with a rep. Still a port request even though I never called Att to make a request

May 11 130pm- called Att and they told me there are no open port-out requests on their end and for USM to try again. Escalated

May 13 630am- asked for another update. They have not yet received a response from Att. Escalated > prioritized

May 14 8pm - asked for another update. They still see a pending open port on Att side and cannot port in until that is cancelled. Call Att to cancel the open port, then it’ll be eligible to port to USM. (Already called on May 11)

May 15 12pm - called Att again. A different agent was able to cancel any request that another rep couldn’t see for some reason. Told USM about this update but they still tell me there is a valid open port pending. “You will need to call Att to cancel the port.” I literally got off the phone with Att moments ago. Now have to wait another day.

May 16 12pm - USM resubmitted request for Att to release my number. Att offices closed on weekends. So have to wait until Monday

May 18 320pm - USM still seeing an error. I had called Att an hour ago and they told me number is released and no open port request. USM requesting a 3-way call. Att rep repeated everything to USM rep, number is eligible, released, and no open ports. USM is still seeing an error and is again prioritizing the situation. I would receive an email in 12-24 hours with a final resolution. With this “final” email, I asked if the rep could guarantee that my number will be ported and that I would not be receiving another email saying there’s still a pending port request. He says “yes”

May 19 - I respond to an email from May 18 with an update about my 3-way call. USM re-escalates the issue. USM responds again “currently being prioritized internally.”

May 20 - another email update - still a pending port request. Please call other carrier to cancel the pending port request.

I’m so over this
