Help find suitable machine for stencil cutting
Hello laser expert people! I am looking to find a machine that I can use for cutting Mylar to make stencils. I have a diode laser already and am using that to cut black mylar but the standard transparent sheets are cheaper and I am hoping to find something that can handle workpieces up to around 400x400mm or so. The machine will be for stencil cutting only so I dont think I need huge power or anything fancy? It seems to important thing is a CO2 machine (not diode) as that will handle the transparent mylar. I have seen 'open gantry' machines and I would be able to fabricate an enclosure myself so this seems like a good route? Cost (as ever) is important but I am happy to spend money for something half decent, reliable and accurate. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you !!!
