I need a better starting place than this.

I don’t know why I decided too, but I think it stemmed from Phil Collin’s voice. I was listening to Genesis (which is not a frequent thing) and felt like I should do a deeper dive on their music. So, I started with Reddit, what do the true fans recommend.

Everyone is fairly in accord that “Selling England by the Pound” was one of their best if not their best. I listened the whole way through and wasn’t super impressed, it felt soft, almost like an ELP type of vibe. I really did enjoy “The Cinema Show”, but that was really the only one that stuck out to me.

When I first decided to listen to Genesis I was listening to “Turn it on Again”, should I just start with that album? Is Duke a good album to listen to in general? I’m sorry, I know my opinion isn’t that of the majority and I do plan to listen to “Selling” again.

I sleep in two parts, is that bad for my health?

The title is exactly as it says. I wake up everyday at 7 and head to work, then come back and fall asleep around 4:30-5 ish and wake up at 7:30-8. I then will stay up till around 3-4 am and sleep for around 3-4 more hours.

I’m a little worried that my sleep schedule will get completely disrupted. On weekends I’ll tend to sleep in and then take some naps. I felt really tired this past weekend as I’ve been doing this new sleep schedule for around two weeks.

At work I’m not super groggy and can get through the day without taking a nap mid shift on my break. Please let me know if I’m ruining my health and need to fix it ASAP or if I’m chilling.

I need recommendations for Rush songs that are lyrically “profound.”

I have a friend of mine who LOVES STP to death (big grunge fan), and she and I have been exchanging a ton of music lately. I’m a huge fan of Rush and have been for the past 7 years (I’m only 20) and I’ve listened to their entire discography. HOWEVER, I suck with English. I’m studying Chemical Engineering and she is a Pysch major.

She told me that she loves poems, word play, stuff like that. I can’t for the life of me appreciate poems nearly in the same fashion that she does.

I was looking for some songs that are lyrically phenomenal, have great, deep meanings that you might not catch the first go around. If you have any recommendations PLEASE, I require them. I’m trying to create another Rush fan. Hopefully, if all goes well, we can go on a date to a Rush concert during this tour.

Cover photo has nothing to do with this post I just like it.
