WMMA6 on Mac (Apple Silicon): working, with a one-step installer

Update 10 Oct: Fixed a crash during long saves. Under Wine, the game slowly ran out of memory and eventually stopped with "Error 3035: System resource exceeded" (or crashed on a loading screen). If you installed before today, quit the game, then in the `wmma6-on-mac` folder run `git pull` and then `./update.sh`. That takes a few seconds and doesn't touch your saves or licence. If you used the ZIP, download it again and run `./update.sh` from the new folder. Details are in the README.

Hi all, I've got WMMA6 running fully on my Mac (M5 Max, macOS 27): activation, playing through events, saving and loading, and patching to 1.10. For anyone else on a Mac, I've put together a free installer and guide:

https://github.com/Philsmith1/wmma6-on-mac

What you need: an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later), Homebrew, about 4 GB of free space and your own WMMA6 installer and licence key from Grey Dog. No game files are included.

How: download the repo, then in Terminal run `./install.sh` followed by the path to your WMMA6 `.msi`. It takes 20 to 40 minutes and creates a WMMA6 app you can double-click. On first launch, activate your licence in the License Wizard as normal.

Patches: quit the game, then replace `WMMA6.exe` in the game folder (the README shows where).

Moving computers: deactivate first with the License Management button on the main menu.

Why it was tricky: WMMA6's licence check uses 32-bit .NET, which hangs under Wine on Apple Silicon. A fix found by kic99 for TEW IX (credited in the README) solves that. I also fixed a Wine bug that made small fighter thumbnails look speckled.

Grey Dog doesn't support Macs, so please don't send them questions about this project. Post them here or on the GitHub page and I'll help where I can.
