Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a MMA career simulator called Cage Legacy.
The idea is simple: you create a fighter, take fight offers, train, build hype, deal with form/health, climb through smaller organizations, and try to become a champion. It’s more of a career-management sim than an arcade fighting game.
I’m trying to make the game as realistic as possible. Early opponents can be debutants or fighters with rough records, smaller promotions may not always afford you once your hype grows, and your career path depends on choices, risk, and momentum.
It’s still a work in progress, so feedback would genuinely help a lot - especially on balance, UI, fight offers, progression, and what features would make the career feel more immersive.

I've reached a point where fighters are reappearing with the same photos but different names. I love this game, but I’d like more variety in the fighters' countries and designs—what can I do about this?
The base game will have 10 companies you can play as, with different levels of popularity and wealth. From then on, you can manage your roster as you like, recruiting, training, and sometimes cutting your fighters. You also have the role of matchmaker and are the one who chooses the matchups and plans the events. Player-fighter and fighter-fighter relationships are important and are weighed through Org Loyalty, Morale, and Rivalries, which impact their decisions and form.
The Alpha will last for two weeks and will be completely free. I hope to make the announcement for the Alpha in the next couple of months. Follow .@mmapromotergame on X to stay up to date on the latest news if you want to participate.
MMA Promoter will not include any real-life fighters or brands. However, we will permit the use of custom databases like the one used in the promotional video.
On release, the full game and future updates will be 10$.
PC : the Alpha will be playable through your browser but the game will function in a standalone app on full release. Mobile version is not in the plans.
No. The core systems like the fight engine and the fighter regen system predate AI coding tools and represent hundreds of hours of work. As a solo dev I do use AI to help across the project, but the core engine is hand-built and calibrated.
Yes, no plans for multiplayer.
Speaking for the match engine, it has been calibrated to real-life numbers to match real outcomes across different matchups and weight classes. The organizations also have realistic transfer and cut policies, while the fighters also have realistic progression and regression.
One of my favorite things to do is to create high level fighters and see how their careers pan out.
The thing is, with so many high level talents, some of them just ended up never getting a shot at the title, even though they were good enough to do so.
They can reach top 5 (my standard for title fight), but always got beat by other fighters, sometimes lower ranked fighters when waiting for the champion's schedule to align with theirs.
