Fight Week - Announcement Trailer
Hello everyone!
I’ve spent a ridiculous number of hours playing WMMA over the years, and my love for the series is a huge part of why I started making Fight Week.
Fight Week is a combat sports promotion management game inspired by the kind of deep sandbox experience I loved in WMMA, but built around my own ideas and with MMA, boxing, kickboxing, bare knuckle, and more all existing in the same world.
You run the fight business: sign fighters, negotiate contracts, scout prospects, book cards, manage fight week, deal with injuries and replacements, secure TV and sponsor deals, and try to build your promotion into an empire.
One thing that was especially important to me was simulation speed. Fight Week is designed to simulate the wider game world quickly, even with thousands of fighters, promotions, rankings, careers, and events being tracked. I want long-term saves where you can advance months or years without spending forever waiting for the world to process.
Some of the major features currently include:
- Start in 1993, 2002, or 2026
- Thousands of fighters with skills, styles, personalities, ageing, injuries, and career histories
- Fast world simulation designed for long-term saves
- Contracts, agents, scouting, amateur leagues, and fighter development
- Full card booking with press events, weigh-ins, and late replacements
- Fight simulation with exchange-by-exchange play-by-play, stats, judging, and scorecards
- MMA, boxing, kickboxing, bare knuckle, and customizable rules
- Sanctioning bodies, purse bids, titles, and unification fights
- Tournaments, rankings, yearly awards, and a Hall of Fame
- Retired legends who can potentially be convinced to come back
- Body-specific damage, injuries, freak accidents, and career decline
- TV deals, sponsors, staff, finances, and a board to answer to
- Rival promotions, fight camps, rivalries, and a constantly changing game world
- A full database editor for creating your own universe
I’m still actively developing it, but I wanted to share it here because WMMA is genuinely one of the main reasons this project exists.
I’d especially love feedback from longtime WMMA players on what features you consider essential in a modern combat sports management game.
