Just found out that I won’t be seeing Salmon and Del McCoury Band on 8/22 for my anniversary as planned. The email just said it cancelled for “unforeseen circumstances “. Does anyone know why? Is everyone ok? As of now Salmon has removed it from their tour page but Del’s page just has it up as a dead link.
Maybe I’m explaining this wrong, but this is what it sounds like to me. I have a new American Jazz Bass that I got new a few months ago from GC. It’s been great, I love it. However, lately I’ve noticed what I can only describe as odd overtones on the fretboard. Basically, I can hear the string ringing from the fretted position to the bridge, but also to the nut. The pickups only grab what’s in the bridge side, but I can hear it. I e looked at YouTube videos and maybe I haven’t found the right one, but I can’t figure out what’s wrong. I feel like the fact that it was hanging on the wall at GC for who knows how long and has been on a stand since I got it home means that something has settled, but I don’t know what. I’ve tried adjusting the truss rod bit that doesn’t seem to help. Any ideas?
My daughter wants a Lord of The Rings themed Pool Party this summer, and my wife and I are stumped. I know we can wrap her in a shroud and push her down the slide and sing Boromir’s Lament and pretend it is Rauros. There’s also a dead marshes competition, where we see which kid can hold their breath in the shallow end while staring up listlessly the longest. Obviously we’ll have ring pops as prizes for the games. Gollum impressions on the end of the diving board seem doable. But I just feel like we need more. Anyone have any ideas?
