I want to share a little of my webtoon drawing process! ✏️

Hi everyone! 👋
I wanted to share a little of my drawing process for my webtoon Chilling Emblem.

This panel went through four stages:

1. Spacing / Layout
I start with very simple stick figures and rough shapes to plan the composition, panel flow, and overall pacing.

2. Rough Sketch
Then I refine the characters and expressions so I can use this sketch as a guide for the final line art.

3. Line Art
After inking, I place a grayscale layer underneath the line art. I set my coloring layers to clip/parent to it (different software uses different names for this feature), which makes it much easier to use the paint bucket tool without coloring outside the lines.

4. Coloring
Honestly… I usually stop around this stage because I don't have enough time for heavy rendering 😂 “Good enough to tell the story” is often my goal. Do you have any little tricks or workflow habits that save you time when making comics? I'd love to hear them!

You can read Chilling Emblem here if you're curious.

One small change that made my action scenes much easier to read

I recently rebooted my Webtoon, and one of the biggest lessons I learned was how important screen-sized panels are for key moments.

In the old version, this attack was shown in a smaller panel. In the reboot, I expanded it to fill an entire screen vertically.

I feel like the impact and readability improved a lot, especially on mobile devices.

It's a small change, but I think it made a big difference.

Just wanted to share this little lesson with fellow creators. 🙂

If anyone is interested in checking out my comic, here's the link:

[OC] Chilling Emblem Episode 12 is now available – the calm before everything falls apart

Hey everyone! Episode 12 of Chilling Emblem just dropped!

This one's been a wild ride to make — 39 panels, more plot twists than I expected, and somehow a toaster ended up being central to the whole thing. Things have been slowly building since Episode 5, and this episode is where the calm finally breaks.

Read it here! (Webtoon Canvas)

Would love to hear your thoughts — especially if you saw that ending coming. 👀

[OC] Episode 11 of my supernatural action webtoon is out — the main antagonist finally appears

Hi! I’m the creator of *Chilling Emblem*, a supernatural action/drama webtoon inspired by Taiwanese city culture and urban legends.

Episode 11 just released, and the main antagonist of this arc finally makes his first full appearance.

This chapter focuses more on tension, manipulation, and the feeling that something is slowly taking over the city.

You can read it here!

I’d really love to hear what people think about the villain introduction ✨
