[Free] Update to dropadoo - *ZIP before sending!

Hey there, back then when i launched dropadoo, for being niche and nerdy and whatnot, you liked it. Super nice feedback, thank you again.

Let me bring an update that adds to the usability, not feature creep.
You can now optional zip your files automatically before sending.

Temp-zip gets deleted afterwards, subject and body text generation etc. didn't change - as great as before.

--- now official post format---

Dropadoo does exactly one thing and it does it perfectly:

Send files to predefined e-mails via drag and drop.

Now think about platforms that accept email receipt... workflows with just one single drop:

Asana, Box, ClickUp, Cloud-Storage, Dropbox, GitHub, Google Drive, HubSpot, Hubspot, IFTTT applets, Jira, Make, Mantis, Monday, Notion, Redmine, Trello, Zapier, Zenddesk, Zoho, to name a tew...

Drop without further ado - dropadoo

Problem:

Time & clicks spent when you just quickly need to send attachments to frequently used recipients or platforms. (open e-mail client, open new mail, drop the attachment, enter recipient, send).

Compare:

I'm not aware of a tool like that. Always on the hunt for perfekt workflows, i designed and created it. Some of those newer notch/mouse helper/dropzone apps might have a comparable possibility. Then again, dropadoo is dedicated, has some nice options and is faster to use.

Other than that it comes as standalone SMTP client, so, once configured, you don't clutter your email server and are fast as lightening.

Pricing:

FREE in the app store.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dropadoo-send-files-via-drop/id6758711616?mt=12

I might raise it to a cheap one time purchase sopme time.
Not sure yet. Anyways, get your copy if you're interested, my way of saying thank you for this sub.

Changelog:

1.1.0 features zip funtionality. You will find it in each dropzone to toggle it.

Roadmap - not sure where this will take me, most likely FTP next. (ideas welcome)

Will depend a lot on your feedback.

Al Disclaimer:

None. Hand coded from white sheet.
Designed in Adobe XD, coded in Flutter, compiled after some OS-native changes in Xcode.

Can we make this a (-n even) better place by...

- helping developers find great NEW ideas?

I don't know about you, but if i come here to see another
paste-xx
screenshot
teleprompt
fitness tracker
...
i'm gonna cry. Crying is bad, hurts this wonderful place here.

I expect devs to be careful with spreading ideas, some one else could make millions of bucks with, i understand and don't expect them to.

But what about the rest of us coming here with app ideas - stuff that bugs us, where we wonder why nobody solved it, or solved it perfectly, no matter how niche or wacky? Would that be something?

"newbie coder here, i wanted to try it, did first idea, yes it it is a receipt scanner"
but why don't we encourage the
"newbie here, saw this wacky little idea and gave it a go"?

Does this speak to you? I prefer one trick ponies over the flood of all-the-same-minimum-changes-to-competitors-created-it-for-my-girlfriemd-she-loves-it. Am i alone?

As i said, i understand devs not giving away ideas but here are more than enough, HQ MAC evangelists, optimizing their workflows.
This is what i wanna see, if they need our help, we should be here! (and we know thy need our ideas... sorry guys)

Upvote it as much as you can if you agree, let's get the attention of mods and change something here. Shall we?

Your humble Oliver

Help me, i‘m not sure what you are talking about. Not fully.

There’s so much bad mouth on AG, and i really honestly have a different experience. Like totally.
Context: ‘m a very seasoned designer and software architect (not exactly a good coder but after 25 years the one others dev consult for input..).

My experience with AG (swift, swift ui, flutter) is more than solid, with the usual AI stuff issues that are not bound to AG at all. When doing heavy stuff in opus, flash then never failed except for bigger structure changes (but this is how it works right?).

As i said, i‘m really not the coolest guy in this room but i really don’t understand the permanent complaints and shit talk. Help me, meant honestly.

Is it just me - or is the first upload of a new app to testflight somehow.... romantic?

not sure how to find better words. It's a special feeling, not only relief and joy.

Am i okay? Say something! :)
