Family kissing our babies?

From early on I’ve been very clear with my family and my mother in law that kissing our baby would not be allowed. My mom recently visited and I noticed a kiss on the head but let it slide until I saw her kiss my baby on the cheek. I addressed it and she was understanding. I also validated that my baby is very kissable and I get how it could just kind of happen. This week my husband, baby and I are visiting some family out of state. This is the first time this family has met our baby and I feel like I’ve been very relaxed with their kids (all under 7) touching our baby. Well yesterday I noticed my brother in law kiss my baby twice - once on the head and once on the cheek. I asked my husband to address it since it’s his family as I address matters like this with my family. He said that his brother was understanding and receptive. Well today I witnessed another kiss on the head today! I’m really conflicted because I’ve never had any weird vibes with my BIL, like him and his wife are people we thought would be our baby’s guardians if something happened to us (feeling weird about it now). I’ve known him for 8 years but I don’t know I feel off about it. When I told my husband about it he was in disbelief as if I was lying. I would never lie about that and I don’t want to make it weird between him and his brother because they’re extremely close. I told him that it’s his family and he can address it or not. We’re staying with them for another few days so it would be weird but I don’t know how to take this. I am extra sensitive about physical affection towards our baby due to extensive SA in my own family. Just wondering if any other moms would feel weirded out by this? Or your stance on kisses on the hair?

This stage is hard

My baby just turned 8 months and while so many exciting developments are happening, there are also some frustrating ones. More particularly, she screams during anything she doesn’t want to do. Diaper changes, outfits being put on, laying her down - guttural screams. Every morning I hope we have a better day and every evening I feel so guilty for losing my patience at some point in the day (never physical). I’m not the mom I want to be and I just think about all of the people I know who have babies in similar ages and how they probably respond so differently or have more chill babies.

Edit: just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words and solidarity. I posted this impulsively after a rough day and was feeling a bit insecure about vocalizing some raw thoughts. It helps to know I’m not alone ❤️
