First i noticed the benches gone earlier this week and today I saw some men doing construction on the interior hauling away materials. shut down for good? will the benches come back? :(
Recently got a nice new 35mm camera (Olympus Pen D2) and when trying to fill up my first roll, I decided to visit one of my favorite stations in the whole city and finally got the film developed.
The view is incredible. It’s full of beautiful steel beams. This and the next station, Fourth Avenue/Ninth Street, are the only two G stations above ground because when constructing it they decided it was cheaper to go over the canal instead of tunnel under, making it the tallest (and least accessible) train station in the world until 2022. It’s so stupid. I love it. Go to the last slide to see the train I left on <3
