IRL Cladding vs Molding?

Curious if anyone here has the cladding and or molding "installed" on their Wilderness! I'm trying to decide if I want to go with the molding (same color as car) or the cladding (black plastic).

I personally like the rugged look, but unsure if it will feel like too much and if i should get the color matched molding instead.

I have a 26 FW in Geyser Blue so if anyone has examples in that model/trim that would be a bonus 🙂‍↕️

Do I Tell Someone?

Recently bought a new forester and the dealership salesman keeps asking me to "do him a favor" and rate him a 10 on the survey from Subaru...but to be sure to not say anything about him asking. He said its tied to his commission and he'd really appreciate it. He says to only rate a 10 because thats the only way he gets his commission.

I already disliked my experience a lot, for many reasons. Which was disappointing but expected from all the dealership tales I've been told. If I answer the survey honestly he'd get a 2. Luckily, I love my car and theres plenty of subaru dealerships around me so I dont have to see him again.

The salesman has now REPEATEDLY (over 3 different times) texted me about this after the sale, which has now irked me to the point of wanting to tell corporate that this feels unethical and slimy. I have screenshots.

Part of me wants to just ignore it and move on. The other part of me is so annoyed I want to do the exact opposite in a somewhat raging way.

What would you do?

Thanks everyone for your input. I've decided to report him to the FBI! Just kidding.

I've come to the conclusion that not only is it irritating and apparently very common, but from an ethics perspective, it just gives me the ick. That being said, ethically, I will simply answer the survey honestly and move on with my life. I won't be reaching out to him to make anything "right" as I am very over any more conversations with this man. I also already asked him why I should do him a favor and if there was any favor I get in return. He said no. Overall, he was condescending, pushy, uninformed, and a liar. Just an average car salesman I suppose.

window socks were not working for my 26 FW and then i very fortunately came across this idea (credit: seimple_life on IG)

sharing here incase anyones having the same problem

got two vinyl gutter gaurds for ~$3 each, cut them to size with my kitchen scissors. took about 5 minutes! the gutter gaurds have a little nook that the window fits into and then you just slide your windows up with the guards "installed"

my window had a little trapezoid of space i was disappointed about at first, but just pieced in some of the excess and now me and my dog will have airflow without mosquitos for our next car camping trip (:
