I noticed some students are getting too comfortable with the professors to the point that there isn't respect anymore. I can see it affecting the class because impressions often last and affect how our professors treat the whole class for the whole semester.

Please maintain proper manners and etiquette when approaching the professor or any school admin. Let's not forget that they are still our professors and we are only their students. Especially for beadles who are in constant communication with the professors, please ask, talk, or email them with proper greetings, and a respectful tone.

They are not our friends who we can talk casually with and demand things we want when we want it. Let us also refrain from making sarcastic whispers or comments when our professors are asking questions seriously. It's basic human decency to answer properly when being asked. It's not making you look cool and appealing to women like how you think it would when you act like an ahole.

We're no longer freshies to not know how to act like college students. Hell, even freshies probably have better etiquette.

The halls of Ateneo have always had their fair share of whispers, but lately? The loudest scandals don’t seem to come from the girls anymore.

Word on campus is that some Ateneans have mastered the art of choosing sides before hearing both stories. Funny how “gender equality” somehow became an excuse for men to indulge in the same mean-girl tactics they once mocked. Fragile egos wrapped in confidence, expecting everyone else to tiptoe around them while they silently collect sympathizers behind closed doors.

The real performance? Adults in their twenties insisting that “nothing’s wrong” to your face, only to tell everyone else how horribly they’ve been wronged.

Communication? Apparently too old-fashioned when playing the victim earns more applause.

And yes, yours truly got cast as this season’s villain.

One conversation turned into a campaign. Private secrets became bargaining chips. Allies were recruited, invitations disappeared, and suddenly the group had already decided who deserved a seat at the table. I stayed quiet because I believed the truth would speak for itself. It didn’t. Gossip spoke louder.

Apparently, it’s easier to blame the person trying to save the friendship than admit no one else wanted to put in the effort.

Silence isn’t weakness, it was grace. But grace has an expiration date.

So here’s today’s little reminder: every queen bee eventually mistakes an echo chamber for a kingdom.

for context regular student ako, with no deficiencies. i just really need to take some of my classes at a different time kasi working student ako. do i still need to go to my dept. chair or dean to add subjects or i just have to manually add yung subjects sa sis and pay?
