Eliminated cravings (for now)

I’m a long time lurker, but the post here have helped me SO much. Like many of you I’ve had several unsuccessful quits (my longest being 19 days), and the posts here have helped me immensely. Now it’s my turn to contribute.

I’m quitting for my health. But the health effects have never really felt “immediate,” and I’ve always gone back to deciding I’ll just quit some other day.

I also had it in my mind recently that when I quit for good, I’ll work on getting my cardio back since my lungs will be better.

Idk what switch flipped in my brain this morning, but I decided nah, we’re getting our cardio back NOW. No more waiting for “one day.”

So I’m nicotine free since last night, and I went on the treadmill today for half an hour and just died. Gasping for air. Fighting for my life. I’m a long time fitness enthusiast, so I know that this is what day 1 of any fitness journey feels like so I’m able to fight through, but damn if I am not looking at my vape in disgust now. My goal is to associate my weakness with vaping and leave them both behind day by day.

Tomorrow will be day 2 nicotine free AND day 2 rebuilding my capacity to use my body and lungs the way I want to. No more “later.” No more “one day.”

And yes I have my desmoxan as well. if I start to feel weak I pop one and distract myself.

LETS DO THIS!!!!
