If I wish to learn a new sport like basketball or tennis, is there scope at Krea for someone to teach me, or is it only for people who already know the game? I really want to learn a new sport.
During Krea’s two-month holiday, are students allowed to leave their belongings in the hostel rooms, or do we have to pack everything and take it home?
Also, do the cupboards have enough space and a hanging rod for clothes? Should we bring our own hangers?
I didn’t study Maths in Classes 11–12, but I want to pursue Economics and Data Science at Krea. Would I need to take a foundation Maths course or clear any prerequisite exams? Can I start with Economics first and add Data Science later after building my Maths skills? I’d especially like to hear from current students who joined without Maths.
Do we need to bring our own curtains and doormat, or are they already provided in the hostel rooms? Also, is an induction available in the common area, or should we bring an electric kettle for heating water/making instant food?
Those who have already been admitted and paid the fees—have you received any information about the reporting or move-in date? On which date are we supposed to reach the campus? Krea hasn’t sent me any email regarding this yet, and I need to book flights and accommodation for my parents. Please share any information you have!
My parents will be coming to drop me off and may stay for around 4 days. Is there any guest accommodation on campus, or any good nearby place you all would recommend?
I wasn’t able to get into Ashoka, but I have offers from FLAME, Krea and Ahmedabad University. Which one would you recommend for Economics, considering academics, peer group, opportunities and overall value?
Would really appreciate honest advice from Ashoka students who may have considered these options too.
I’m planning to apply to Ashoka for UG after a drop year, and honestly, the ageism around droppers is unnecessary. In medical, engineering, and law colleges, droppers and even double droppers are very common. But in liberal arts spaces, people suddenly act like being 20, or 21 in first year is embarrassing. People take gap years for many reasons: entrance prep, confusion, family issues, finances, mental health, or simply wanting to correct past mistakes. That should not make them less capable or less deserving. In the long run, a career lasts nearly 40 years. Starting one or two years later barely matters. Even if my batchmate were 24 or 25, I would not judge them. Everyone has their own timeline. If some seniors or batchmates are ageist, I’d rather not engage with them.

I applied in Round 3 and haven’t received any interview mail yet. I just wanted to ask: if someone is rejected, do they send the rejection mail immediately after reviewing that application, or do they send rejection mails for all Round 3 applicants together on a particular date?
Has anyone from Round 3 received a rejection mail till now? I don’t want to keep waiting if there is no chance, so I’m trying to understand the process.
Hi everyone, I did not have Maths in Classes 11 and 12, but I want to study an Economics-related subject at Ashoka.
As per the rule, I need to take MAT 1000 Calculus in Semester 1 and get at least an A- grade. I am ready to work hard, but I wanted to ask current students: is it realistically possible to get an A- in MAT 1000 with around 4 months of serious preparation?

The website says students without Maths need to take MAT 1000 Calculus in the first semester and get at least an A- grade. I am worried I may not be ready for it in the first semester. Can I take MAT 1000 in the second semester instead and still be eligible for an Economics-related major, since Ashoka allows major changes till the third semester?
