Best Mundane Things
Heading to Rome and the coast up north next week. I’ve read the guidebooks, watched the travel docs, and I’m already set up with tour guides for a lot of sites.
What I’m curious about at this point is not the big amazing sites, artwork, and signature culinary stuff. I’m curious to know things to look out for that are the ordinary and everyday to many Italians. What kinds of things do Italians living abroad miss that was normal back home. Things like what are the best cheap snacks or drinks you can’t find outside Italy? What public everyday activities are normal in Italy but missing everywhere else? Where do you go to relax that is away from busy areas?
I’m excited to try to observe a lot of this myself but would love to hear any input.
