The honking
What the FUCK is going on? Was I not informed about some car honking parade at six FUCKING am? I have to wake up for work in a bit. I am genuinely losing my mind.

Hey y’all! I’m a student here in the Netherlands who just finished her first year!
During this time, I have had to move twice - first time searching from my home country, only able to do online viewings and second time going in person. I completely understand how frustrating it is to find housing.
I’m not gonna sit here and say I have the magic solution for you because really it is just applying and hoping for the best. I just thought I’d make this post as I don’t see this mentioned often and I think it’s important for people who are doing things on their own for the first time.
When I got my first room without even seeing it in person, I applied to a room which I unfortunately did not get. Seeing another rejection email sucks, but I didn’t ignore it and move on with my day. I sent another message thanking them for their time and if another room opened up, I would be interested. It wasn’t a lot, but I believe because of that message, a few days later they reached out offering me a different room in the same house!
I currently live in a much better place, and honestly I only went to like 3 viewings in person? I was looking at the beginning of the year so the selection was very limited and my budget is also quite low(under 500€). Out of those 3 viewings, I was interested in 2. And, of course, I was not the only one. That is why I made sure to give actual good reasons why I would want to(and honestly kinda need to lol) stay there. This might seem obvious to a lot of you, but trust me, you SHOULD list every reason you can think of. Don’t just send a “hi I’m interested, thanks for your time” after the viewing, give them reasons to pick you out of everyone else. Mention things you liked about the place and how you can envision yourself living there.
One again, this is nothing revolutionary, but I see way too many people doing nothing to show off their character or personality. There is really not a lot we can do to differentiate ourselves as students, so we gotta leverage what we have.
TLDR; Personalise your messages and show kindness in your responses.
Hi! It’s always been my dream to do an internship in Japan. I’ll need to intern in like 2 years(so there is no rush rn), but I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with doing an internship in Japan while being a student in the Netherlands. How difficult was it to find one that your university accepted and was the experience worth it? I’m studying creative business so I wonder what options there would be related to my study.
I am learning Japanese, though obviously the internship would have to be (at least primarily) in English.
I’d love to talk to someone who has had experience with this so I can prepare myself! Thank you ^_^
I’m guess mostly social media. But how much do you trust that the new account you stumbled upon is what they say they are? Do you simply trust that they are being genuine, or is there a way to kind of fact check yourself? I know for bigger brands there is a website to see how they score, but how can I be sure when I am supporting a small upcoming artist?
I made my digid account a few weeks ago, so I want to convert my studielink account to the digid log in instead of using my email each time. When I click log in with digid, it basically asks me to create a new account. When I log in to my existing account, I don’t have an option to convert it or something like that. How do I do this bro💔💔
Thank you
