He Drew This While Being Colorblind!

This kid is awesome, and PokeSean is also amazing. He’s such a great vendor to the kids he interacts with.

I just stumbled across this video of matryoshka turning. Fascinating use of turning tools I’ve never seen.

NTD - I got a set of Hurricane M2 Cryo bowl gouges and HOLY COW what a difference!

I do my woodworking out of Philadelphia Woodworks, a members woodworking shop that has a bunch of lathes as well as a fully kitted out shop for diy to pro grade projects. They supply a bunch of tools to use at the lathes and that’s been fine for what I need, but given that they’re common use, it also means lots of people are caring for them and sharpening them with varying levels of proficiency.

I finally bit the bullet and bought my own set, and DAMN, I was honestly having trouble controlling my cuts from not being used to having tools that sharp. Yesterday I turned a whole bowl with the tools just out of the box without even sharpening them, and today I gave them my preferred bevel and just sliced through a project.

I’d heard yinz say that good tools make a difference. I’m a believer. Buy-o once, cryo once!
