My new 2026 LT. First new car and second car ive ever owned :)

Paid about 25k out the door with T&L included. Fell in love with it as soon as I test drove it after a month of shopping for a car and decided to take the plunge and get it.

Can an employer who paid for my Class B CDL also revoke it after I have already earned and been issued it by the state? (IL)

So I recently started working as a school bus driver for a company in illinois. Well they are 3rd party testers meaning they can train you for your CDL and do the testing and then send you to the dmv to get your CDL. Right after I earned my cdl they had me sign something saying I would work for them for six months since they helped me get the CDL or they would "call the secretary of state and have it revoked". Well pretty much a day or two after this the company that I work for got underbid for the contract with the school district and lost the contract, meaning that a new company was going to come in and take over transportation for the school district and that everyone currently working for my company would have there employment ended June 8th (about two months after I got hired in). The new company decided to hire all of us (including management). Well with all of this happening I would personally rather just go find a different cdl job altogether so my biggest question is, can the current company actually have my CDL revoked if I decide to leave instead of get hired on with the new company? I apologize if I did not explain all of this correctly but it has all been a bit convoluted and im not really well versed on this kind of thing. Location: Illinois
