Watch in question. It's a watch my dad used before getting a watch that could read his blood pressure.

Dribble 2 overhaul, air gameplay, 1s rant

Tl Dr

I think Dribble 2 Overhaul helped me lock in matching the ball's speed, which finally made my wall setups for air plays click. I've been playing mostly casual 1s to practice my air mechanics, and it's become my favorite mod currently. I still want to get my end-of-season Champion rewards, so what's the best extra mode to grind to Champ? I'm leaning toward Hoops. Also, if anyone has tips for Musty flicks, I'd appreciate them.

I've been able to get to champ for rewards the last 3 seasons. Now I can get to champ fine, sometimes it takes longer than others to get there in a season, but since I've reached champ three seasons a go Ive been able to at least sit in it for most of the time once I do get there. I usually hover in c1 div 1-3. But I honestly can get feel really annoyed about how my teammates play.

I would always feel so annoyed if they conceded a Goal on kickoff, a lot of the time not going for kickoff going for boost. And that would tilt me a bit for the game, . (I am a a bit better about not letting it get to me so much now and not tiltng as easy. Anyway I know should just deal cause in the end we all get bad teammates and long term you're why you go up and down.

Recently I had had a break through with my wall setup for airplay. Like I couldn't get the set up for an air dribble like ever. But I had been spamming dribble 2 overhaul, lets call tit d2O, and that helped me a lot.

I started spamming d2O to get better at ground mechanics and that has improved, still kinda working on getting ground to air dribbles, but there is slow improvement over time with that

. Tho one thing about the effect d2O has on my in game dribbling, I kinda had a tendency to leave the ball on my hood like in d2O, and that isn't the most conducive for a 45 flick, and even though I can do those well enough in like practice, in game having the ball on the hood I feel. I like I have a hard time transitioning to getting the ball more in front of the car to do 45s

So I'm usually using a diagonal flick , which is actually insanely effective. But I do need to work on being able to move the ball to positions where I can do other flicks.

I'm pretty sure the very last level, all the jumping over the little walls of it it helped me with matching ball speed better and I think that helped fix my issues with my wall set up.

I could never get a good set up for an air play, and I was terrible at air dribbles(I don't think. I was matching the ball speed very well) I'd had only Done like a handful of air dribbles that weren't just plain terrible. But then it clicked. I don't know if it was that I had gotten better with matching the ball's speed from spamming dribble2O or whatever, but matching the ball speed going up the wall just clicked.

It clicked so I wanted to practice 1v1s so I could force going up the wall and not annoy a teammate. As well I wanted to work on the set up for the set up i.e., finding a way to hit the ball softly up the wall so I can get to the the actually setup part for an airplay.

I could never seem to find opportunity to even do an airplay cause I found it so hard to get the ball up the wall consistently in a game with an opponent challenging it.

Mixed into all of this, the click happened when I was using an octane. I've been a fennec main for like most of my time playing, but app jack had said something about just switching cars sometimes just to change it up.

And yeah the matching the speed and air play set up happened when I was using the octane.

Once the set up clicked air dribbling started to click. But I really like the aesthetics better with the octane. So I switched back and it really wasn't working well, so I went back to the octane. Eventually I was able to transfer over to the fennec, it's kinda fun y how even tho they're the same hit box they felt so different for me in the air.

I've also been spamming 1s, primarily casuals, to work on mechanics in general some ground play stuff but I really wanted to get better in the air.

Right about the time the set up for an air play clicked figured out how to able flip resets more consistently, I say more consistently but I'd hit like 2 flip resets in a game prior to figuring out the wall setup. Now I can more reliably get flip resets and still working on how to use them, but it's coming along.

I've also been working on my ceiling shots and it's funny I felt like those have been harder to pull off for me in games and that is still a work in progress, but it is coming a long.

Honestly I feel like 3 months ago I kinda didn't have a lot of mechanics I'd use in game and relied MORE... honestly thinking about it I'm not even sure. I had a very basic play style. But now Air dribbles coming a long, resets are coming, and ceiling shots are improving.

Sometimes I'd honestly feel anxious to play RANKED I general so I usually just play 1v1 in casuals. Also I've gradually gotten decently better in game sense, but I only mean thst as far as 1s. I usually get d2-c1 opponents plats mixed in, random golds, a ton of smurfs, Occasional c2-gc1. If I feel like I'm getting nothing playing against a gc just smashing me I just leave like if it isn't even close.

But kinda all of this is to say I've really come to like 1s, I can't blame anyone but my self, and it's kinda all I play right now while I've been grinding mechanics. But I kinda don't miss 2s, I mean I will go back and I think my ceiling is raised higher than it was. I used to think champ1 would be my absolute peak, but I think I can at least get to c2, maybe even c3.

Oh an this is honestly why I initially wanted to talk about, what's the easiest fun mode to get to champion. I don't want to force playing 2s to get rewards cause I'm not sure when I'll want to play ranked 2s.

I've really tried to get better at drop shot, but I've only ever been in the mid plats, and trying grind out of that was just annoying to me, the teammate skill level gap is just too much for me to grind it,maybe someday. Ice day, I'm also like plat something range(I actually haven't even played competitive anything this season yet). But yeah the mechanics I see are just yikes, and it isn't that fun for me. Rumble is fun sometimes I get less annoyed at teammates but it's so literal rng. I honestly think I don't like 3 player modes that much feels like you're a small part of why you win. I don't like as I'm I'm typing I'm thinking it will be hoops. I'm still only like plat 2 or 3 range in hoops but I at least feel I can feel a bigger part of why I'm winning or losing. Should I reconsider rumble?

OH and random if anyone has tips on mustys I can never get it, wall or ground. I feEl like I can never align the car to do it. At least for the flick variation I feel like I I'm not sure where the ball needs to be quite, and I feel like when I watch videos about it they once they jump they boost while oriented up sometimes and sometimes when backwards. And I just don't get it. Rants over.

Ps sorry if this is jumbled, I woke up early to pee decided to write this and am going back to bed.
