I originally purchased this pretty lady with the intention of selling her, buuuut after having her listed for a week and no bites, I decided I’m gonna keep her for now 😅 I’m not usually a satchel kinda girl, but I added a longer strap and I’m making it work lol she’s just too pretty!

This little baby was my first ever vintage Coach bag & what started this obsession. I always thought he was mahogany.. until I recently acquired a mahogany Neo Lunch Tote. Next to the mahogany, he looks gray. Next the grey, he looks brown. HELP.
I joined a fairly new group recently, created by a former expert in a different group.
Last night I made a comment on a post where OP asked for help identifying a style no. and the year it was manufactured… Absolutely NO mention of authenticity whatsoever.. so I figured I was in the clear.
I informed her of the style # and shared the screenshot showing how USA bags with the xxxx-xxx format can be dated. Her bag was from 1990, so I stated that in my comment as well.
My comment was removed, which was fine, but I wanted to know more about why the information was incorrect, so I decided to PM said admin and this was their response 😭 Ouch my bad for asking a question LOL
My guess is fragile ego & couldn’t admit to being wrong. I left the group 🤷♀️😂 this is why I stick to the same groups smh, we got too many crazies in this community
I received this tag with my Maggie Duffle, and it looked sus in the photos but I paid $50 for her so I wasn’t worried about a fake hangtag for that price lol!
Is this fake? It feels very plastic-y and not like my other tags.
Lafayette Bag 4140 in the color Periwinkle? It definitely doesn’t appear to be aqua or glacier, however it’s a bit more blue than id expect for periwinkle. Then again, I don’t have anything to compare it to as this is my first brightly colored bag.
As for the hangtag, I’m guessing this came from the Sonoma Natural Grain collection. Would this be Lilac?
Also, can anyone tell if the hangtag is authentic from this photo? Unfortunately, they’re the only photos the seller provided.
Legacy Hobo Crossbody style 9566. Manufactured in 2005.
Im not super familiar with this era, but every listing I have seen of this particular style has the typical y2k hangtag (contrast stitching, cushioned (?) in the center, yk what I mean!).
Is this hangtag not original to this bag? Is it even authentic? The color matches perfectly and it doesn’t look particularly off to me, but again, I’m not familiar with anything y2k. Help a girl out pls 🥲

Any advice on how to soften her straps up a bit, other than wear ad conditioning? Theyre super stiff, almost like they were never even broken in.
I know there’s an awesome spreadsheet that someone (forgive me for not being able to remember who!) put together where you can view all of the vintage Coach colors by collection. But is there anywhere I can see which bags belongs to which collection? And if anyone could also help a girl out with the different leather types used throughout the years, that would also be awesome!!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice on how to clean these very gross looking straps on this Navy Tribeca Tote that I just received. There’s an insane amount of verdigris and im not sure how to get in there to clean it all out effectively.
Additionally, there’s a small tear at the base of the strap where it is attached to the hardware. Can i use some leather cement to patch that up, along with the small crack in the piping shown in the last photo?
She is In otherwise pretty great condition, I just want to make sure I don’t do her any more damage.

and I may, or may not, have 3 more coming that I have no clue where I’m gonna put 😅 I just received the Tribeca Shopper in Navy and BC Legacy Tote in Camel today. The Tribeca is in gorgeous condition, she just needs a little bit of reshaping and some leather cement on a tiny 1cm patch of her bottom piping (lmk if you’d recommend something else)! The Legacy tote on the other hand is a work in progress, but she’ll be good as new in no time! Her corners, as well as some of her edges, are very faded so I’m thinking I’ll use Blackrock? But I’m afraid to use it on something as light as camel, or if I even can.
Again, please let me know if you recommend I do anything differently! I am very much still learning 😣
I personally collect vintage Coach bags (basically anything from the 90s), so I LOVE rehabbing old leather bags!
My little sister is a JC girl, so when I saw this was made from genuine lambskin leather, I HAD to. I mean, I might as well have a little fun myself, right? 😅 I believe this is from the 2000-2010 era, based on the lambskin, although I’m not sure which exact year.
So far I have cleaned out the interior as best as I could, and conditioned her with 2 coats of Bick4 leather conditioner.
I did have to wet the leather in order to avoid permanent water stains, as I ended up with several large water spots after cleaning the interior. So the leather slightly darkened up a bit, but I like it!
Her birthday isn’t until the end of August, so I plan on making her as pretty as possible until then 🥰
