Door latch ideas?

I have a set of beautiful outwards opening Pella French doors from my dining room to my back yard. They are aluminum on the outside but wood construction. I want to be able to latch the door in the open position without it being an eyesore. The easiest thing to do would be to install a latch on the house and an eye hook on the door and latch the door when it’s open. I had also thought about installing some kind of step-on Spring mounted piston that could eject from the floor of the porch and prevent the door from closing. However, I couldn’t find one that did what I wanted. Before I drill an eye-hook into my door. Can anyone think of more creative ideas for latching the door open my situation?
