Why does my basil constantly turn brown and shrivel?
I've been growing this basil for 135 days and I consistently get these shriveled up leaves. They don't produce leaves of any significant size and they're just really tiny compared to the middle plant, which seems to be thriving. I've already cut the roots back so the middle one isn't stealing the nutrients of the other two, but this has been an ongoing issue since they started growing. I would just trim off the dead/shriveled leaves and hope that the new ones that form would be heartier, but that hasn't really happened.
I've attached a picture of the plant food that I've been using since day one since I have a bunch of this stuff and didn't feel the need to buy the AeroGarden brand stuff. Buy maybe I'm wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Ps. The middle plant was huge. It produced huge leaves and the plant itself was really big until I started to take cuttings and trim it back to give room to the adjacent plants.
