All dressed up fancy
I don’t usually add little clothes to my creatures, because I can’t sew very well! But I gave her a little lace ruffle.
She doesn’t look that happy about it really

With all my little projects piling up in my studio, I decided to put some up for sale in a craft shop near where I work.
It’s a tiny shop which sells craft supplies and vintage toys.
I don’t think these are particularly complex creatures, as I made them while I was learning. But I think they are cute, especially the unicorn. The wool didn’t cost much either.
What would you pay for them?
There’s no question of undercutting any other felters - as no one in my town does felting (if you can believe that!)
The shop is not taking a cut, as I buy a bunch of craft supplies from there and i’m friendly with the owner.
I have to put the prices on them tomorrow - but I just don’t know!
I’ll finished you all soon!
(I think the cats look the most disappointed)
I’ve been really inspired by mid century Japanese cute ceramics - specifically the kawaii style ceramic cats and dogs that were imported to the US and U.K. in the 1950s -70s
I don’t know if anyone remembers them, they had fur stuck to them and big eyelashes?
I’ve been working on a few cats and dogs in this Shōwa Retro style, this is a kitty, I call her Priscilla.
She’s a raw wool core, with bamboo wool highlights on her face for shine, fake eyelashes, and fine merino tops for her fur. I made her bow and necklace out of thrifted beads and ribbon.
She is SO SOFT to hold, I can’t describe it. I’m working on a poodle as well.
