retina hole and ortho k

I'm really scared. I was recently told that I have a retina hole by my optometrist and got referred to a specialist. My old optometrist missed it( said it was electrolytes or psychological since im 17) and the scans I got from 2017-2025 were really bad (blurry and unreadable I think) Ive had symptoms since 2025 after getting sick. My question is how could this happen if I was wearing ortho k, I thought it was supposed to protect your eye? If I get the surgery what will happen to my lenses will I still be able to wear them or when my vision reverts back will it give me another hole?

10 min break

quick question, do you get dismissed as a whole for the 10 min break or do you get up whenever your computer says so?

June 6th testing

I've read the list that college board gave out, but are there any additional things that you need to bring on testing day? Do you need to bring a backpack or food (idk) Also will there be assigned seating? I hate not knowing where to go.. thanks in advance!

consistent issues with ortho k lenses

In the past, I had issues with my lenses not fitting correctly and giving me scratches in my eye. After some time, it was fine and I wore a different pair of lenses again. Last year, for some reason, I got another pair and then another pair. I kept the 'second' and 'third' pair, but I was told that the 'third' pair was better, so I wore those for about a year. Now, for a couple of months, my vision has been uneven and one eye is better than the other. A month or so ago, I noticed that in one eye my vision is better far away but poor up close, and then the other eye has good up-close vision but not far-away vision.

At my last eye doctor appointment, I got tested for glasses and they said my up-close vision was different in one eye, but they didn't say anything about it and I didn't notice it. Now I'm realizing that the eye that has slightly worse up-close vision feels loose when I wear my contact lenses, or like something is in my eye, and I'm concerned that there might be scratches. Should I switch to my second pair of lenses for the time being instead of the ones that are most recent? My eye doctor said I can wear either one of them, except one of them is stronger (I forgot which), or is my up-close vision just bad right now, not from the lenses?

I want to add that I don't think I stored my second lenses correctly. I stored them how I would for a pair that I normally would wear everyday, but I haven't touched them since April of last year. It was stupid of me not to check them. Is it normal to have to change lenses so much? I thought you were supposed to keep them for years.
