Protein + Creatine dilemma
With so much noise on social media regarding protein, different types of protein, plant, fermented yeast, whey concentrate, whey isolate etc etc
I just want to know which is the most consistent brand of protein (If there is any)
Which is
- Easy on the stomach,
- No random test being failed, no heavy metals being detected(goes without saying),
- Good taste(I don’t like chocolate so that becomes a hurdle)
- Not a lot of gimmick and
- Not charging me too much of a premium.(I understand whey is becoming expensive to make but if I would care more about your supply chain issue than the price I pay, I’d rather be an investor in your business than a customer)
- I’d like creatine mono hydrate to be available of the same brand, call it my OCD or whatever but I don’t think it’s too much to ask for
I feel I’ve tried my share of proteins but none of them seem to stick
\\- Tried Muscle Blaze, Muscle tech and ON just to realize they’re just being packaged as “imported” brands, they’re essentially made in India and also if I remember it right, Muscle Tech and ON had also failed some test with some heavy metal traces found or something
\\- I’ve tried TwT too, found it too gimmicky and more of a fad, like the brand but I don’t know if I like the protein
\\- I’ve tried Oziva plant protein too, but I feel there’s a mental block for me with plant proteins as a whole, I feel it’s too good to be true, I always feel there’s some catch associated with it which is not known publicly.
\\- Superyou too, too gimmicky and fad-dy
And these D2C brands don’t really have creatine.
That being said I’m considering true basics (but didn’t find great reviews on Reddit), only what’s needed(cocoa is the flavor that’s available + no creatine) or I go back to the Indian made “imported” brands after doing some research about the failed tests.
Could someone please save my overthinking mind and give me a solution for this dilemma as I think my current protein(ON vanilla flavor whey concentrate) is officially over 😅 and I don’t wanna be stuck in a limbo for long.
