Year 4 of No Lawn

My front yard has been converted to a native wildflower garden. This is my 4th year. It hasn't been easy. Canada thistle, wild violet, and creeping charlie have been ever-present. There are a few bare spots. But what is there makes me very happy.

The milkweed has spread throughout. Yarrow and various cone flowers are doing very well. I hope you enjoyed the tour.

Strange sugar maple leaving - Midwest

Here is a maple we have in our yard. It's a young tree, maybe 4 or 5 years old. It leaves all the way up and down every branch. I haven't seen this before, and was wondering if this is normal? Or if there is something different about this tree which may require different care?

Joseph Joseph tub leaking.

This and 2 other tubs are leaking at the drain. They are several years old and we don't need the drain, as we use them for camping. However we want them to hold water. What are your suggestions to keep these from leaking?

The inner part is rubber and the tub is plastic. I thought about just gluing the plug in there, but it would be nice to remove the plug for cleaning.
