I'm building a small seasonal cabin on posts, and the building department says I need an engineer stamped plan because the loft counts as a second storey. Anyone have a recommendation for an engineer that could do this for me?
Looking for help with my Protel Ascension phone. This is the less common WE-style with an 8000C chassis. Currently, it has English as the primary language, and Spanish as the secondary language. I'd like to change the secondary language to French. I'm not sure if the firmware files you can download to the phone through XNET actually contain language/voice files, or if that is stored separately in the EPROM. If they're separate, then I believe this would mean replacing or manually flashing the EPROM. Has anyone ever done this, or know where I could find the files to do this?
I know there were payphones with 7000 chassis deployed in Canada that have French available, but I don't think any 8000 chassis were ever deployed. So maybe what I'm looking for doesn't exist. Or maybe the language files are interchangeable between different chassis?
The phone currently has firmware # DD8492-973212. Where this is a flash based model, is there a risk of bricking the phone if I just start trying to load different firmware files? I know on the battery models it would revert to the stock firmware if you left it unplugged, but the flash memory persists forever. Is there a way to restore the firmware if I try to load one that doesn't work?
