Looking for a better rotary tool for resin finishing

I've been making small clear resin pieces like this recently, and the finishing step is always the hardest part for me.

My current rotary tool works, but the speed control isn't great and it feels difficult to get precise when I'm trying to smooth small edges or polish detailed areas. I'm thinking about upgrading to something better.

Right now I'm deciding between the Let's Resin rotary tool and the Resiners cordless rotary tool kit.

What I care about most:

  1. better speed control (especially for delicate resin pieces)

  2. more precise sanding/polishing

  3. enough attachments for different finishing steps

  4. comfortable to use for longer sessions

I usually work on clear resin pieces with embedded elements, so I need something that can remove small imperfections without taking too much material off.

Has anyone here used either of these two? Which one would you recommend for resin casting and polishing?

Would love to hear your experience before I pick one.

This vase finally came out right

After a few failed prints, I finally got the spiral details and curves looking much cleaner.

Still experimenting with settings, but happy with how this one turned out.

I also made a small upgrade to my printer setup with a air purifier next to it. It’s been nice having a cleaner-feeling workspace and better air quality during longer printing sessions, especially when the printer is running for hours.

Any settings you’d recommend for improving curved surfaces?

Ocean wave earrings attempt finally getting closer to the look I wanted

I’ve been trying to make ocean-inspired resin earrings for a while, but the hardest part has always been keeping the waves clear and detailed.

Those tiny bubbles around the curves and edges can really ruin the glass-like effect, especially with transparent pieces where every detail is visible.

For this batch, I tried using bubble remover before pouring. It helped reduce the trapped air in the resin and kept the wave texture much cleaner. The final pieces have a much clearer “frozen wave” look instead of looking cloudy.

First time 3D printing: made myself a croissant ring!

I stopped by a friend's house last week to check out her brand-new 3D printer. She asked if we wanted a quick demo, and honestly, the whole thing was so much faster than I thought it would be. We just generated an image of a croissant ring using AI, uploaded that picture to a 3D generator website, and within minutes, the printer was already going.

I uploaded the final piece here. What do you guys think?
